From 1976 through 1984, Larry Lynch played the drums and served as
a vocalist for the Greg Kihn Band, whose hit song Jeopardy soared to
No. 1 on the music charts in 1983.

Being in Greg Kihn's band was just one of many highlights
in a varied musical career that began at the age of 14 when he picked up
a pair of drumsticks. Elvis was his inspiration in those early days as Larry
began to play with local bands in El Cerrito. From there he auditioned for Greg Kihn and began touring with groups like the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Jefferson Starship, Journey, Peter Gabriel and
the Police. In 1983, Larry won a Bammie - Bay Area Music Award - for
best drummer.

After eight years of touring with Greg Kihn, Larry decided to go
out on his own. He settled in the Bay Area once again and began writing
songs with Robbie Dunbar. The two formed the core of Larry Lynch and
the Mob in 1984 and have been playing for hundreds of special party
events ever since.
